Stromectol (Ivermectin)

Common use

Stromectol is an anthelmintic. it is used for treating infections caused by certain parasites. It works by killing sensitive parasites.

Dosage and directions

Use Stromectol as directed by your doctor. Take Stromectol by mouth on an empty stomach with water. Some patients who take Stromectol will need repeated follow-up and retreatment to make sure the infection is cleared up completely. Follow your doctor's instructions. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.

Contraindications

No not use this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredient in Stromectol.

Drug interaction

Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following: Warfarin because the risk of its side effects may be increased by Stromectol.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.

Overdose

If overdose is suspected, contact a local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: numbness, tingling, trouble breathing, loss of coordination, seizures.

Storage

Store at room temperature below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.
