Accutane (Isotretinoin)

THE USE OF THE MEDICINE

Accutane is used to treat severe acne rashes in patients who do not help other medications. It can also be used for other symptoms to a doctor.

HOW TO USE

Take Accutane two times a day with meals unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Swallow the capsule. Do not suck or chew. Take with a full glass of water, milk or other nonalcoholic liquid. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Depending on your reaction to Accutane, your doctor may need to adjust the dosage upward or downward. If your condition is improving rapidly, your doctor may stop giving you Accutane even after 15 or 20 weeks.

After completion of receiving Accutane should not be less than 2 months 'rest period' during which you do not take this medication. This is because acne can gradually disappear, even if you stop taking the medicine. After 2 months, if your rash is still severe, your doctor may prescribe a second course of Accutane. If you are still growing, your doctor may recommend a longer "rest period".

Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages.

Do not share Accutane with anyone because of the risk of birth defects and other serious side effects.

THE MECHANISM OF MEDICINE

Accutane is a retinoid. It works by reducing sebum production, changes in the characteristics of sebum and prevent abnormal stiffness of the skin.

MISSED DOSE

If you miss a dose of Accutane, take it to as soon as possible. If the time has come almost to the next dose, skip the missed reception and return to your normal schedule the reception. Do not take 2 doses at once.

STORAGE

Store Accutane at 77 degrees Fahrenheit (25 degrees C). Brief storage at temperatures between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 ° and 30 ° C) is allowed. Keep away from heat, moisture and light. Not store in bathroom. Keep Accutane away from children and pets.
