Isordil (Isosorbide Dinitrate)

DESCRIPTION

Isordil is used for treating and preventing angina caused by coronary heart disease. This medicine should be used before physical activities (exercise, sexual activity). The class of medicines: nitrates. Promotes relaxation and dilation of blood vessels.

MODE OF APPLICATION

The usual dose of isordil ranges from 5 to 20 mg, 2-3 times a day. With supportive therapy the recommended dose of 10 to 40 mg, 2-3 times a day. In some cases, allowed the appointment of higher doses, depending on the patient's condition and treatment options. To reduce the resistance of the interval between doses daily should be at least 14 hours. The optimal interval depends on the individual patient, dose and treatment regimen. You should take this medicine when you are sitting. Isordil given orally, with a little water, not mixed with food. Resolves drug under the tongue, without chewing. Isordil is taken on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before or 2 hours after meals.

MISSED DOSE

STORAGE
